Jeremy is a commercial and regulatory lawyer who specialises in regulated or part-regulated sectors including rail, bus, automotive, power and utilities.

He has broad experience supporting train operators on franchise and concessions bids, as well as advising train manufacturers and ROSCOs on fleet procurements, maintenance and leasing. Jeremy is an expert in the regulatory framework that applies to rail having joined the firm from the Office of Rail Regulation (now Office of Rail and Road). He also advises clients in the utilities sector, including the UK’s largest DNO, as well as ’big six’ and smaller energy suppliers.

He has a particular interest in “Smart Cities” from a transport and energy perspective, and advises a range of clients involved in smart metering, as well as technology companies looking to innovate in the transport sector. He is actively involved in a number of intelligent transport initiatives across Europe, covering topics such as Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and connected transport.

Jeremy joined Osborne Clarke from the Office of Rail Regulation in January 2013. He has a post graduate diploma in EU competition law.
