Osborne Clarke has advised Tech Mahindra GmbH on the acquisition of Beris consulting GmbH and its subsidiary LINEAS Informationstechnik GmbH.
Beris consulting GmbH is an IT service provider based in Wolfsburg, Germany, which advises its clients on optimising projects and processes through information technologies. Tech Mahindra GmbH is the German subsidiary of India's Tech Mahindra Limited, which achieved a turnover of over USD 5.1 billion in 2019/2020 with over 120,000 employees worldwide. Tech Mahindra is part of the Mahindra Group, an Indian conglomerate with 200,000 employees.
Osborne Clarke has advised Tech Mahindra for over 18 years. The transaction underlines the importance of the India Group to the international law firm, which has a close working relationship with BTG Legal (Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore). Most recently, Osborne Clarke advised PT Elegant Textile Industry (Aditya Birla Group) on the acquisition of a majority stake in Spinnerei Lampertsmühle.
The India Group, founded in 2004, focuses on technology transactions for Indian clients in the European market (inbound). Osborne Clarke also advises clients on their transactions from Europe and the USA to India (outbound). Osborne Clarke has been included in the A-list of international law firms/lawyers by the India Business Law Journal repeatedly.
