Osborne Clarke has advised VR Ventures on investment in the startup Empion. The Berlin-based HR tech startup has raised EUR 2.4 million in pre-seed funding led by VR Ventures/Redstone VC, Basinghall Partners and renowned angels from the HR tech industry.
Empion is a data-based job platform that matches companies and applicants based on company culture, values and skills. Using an AI-based Robo Advisor, Empion quantifies company culture and implements automated headhunting.
Founded by Dr Annika von Mutius and Dr Larissa Leitner, the Empion company automates headhunting with artificial intelligence. Prominent angel investors include Robin Behlau (Aroundhome/Valyria), Michael Stephan & Dr Frank Freund (Raisin), Fabian Kienbaum (Kienbaum), Constanze Buchheim (i-potentials), Anna Kaiser (Tandemploy/Phenom), Oliver Manojlovic (Personio), Emma Tracey (Honeypot), Peak Angel Program, Dr Christoph Hardt & Dr Jan Schächtele (COMATCH), and Julian Stiefel (Tourlane).
