Osborne Clarke has advised MAP Group, a portfolio company of private equity firm Kester Capital, on the acquisition of SKC Beratungsgesellschaft mbH.
MAP Group, an international strategy consultancy focused on pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, advises its clients on accessing Europe's complex medical regulatory and payer environment. Through specialised consulting products and services, as well as an online platform that provides companies with access to expert knowledge, the distribution of innovative healthcare solutions in Europe is enabled. MAP Group is headquartered in the United Kingdom and has additional locations across Europe, from where it offers its product and service portfolio to clients worldwide, supported by Kester Capital.
MAP Group has now acquired SKC Beratungsgesellschaft mbH, based in Hanover. Founded in 2005, SKC is a leading German strategy consultancy for complex issues in the areas of market access, pricing, and reimbursement of innovative medicines (AMNOG), medical devices, and digital health applications (DiGA).
The SKC founding team, Dr Matthias P. Schönermark and Heike Kielhorn-Schönermark, will join the executive leadership team of MAP Group. The acquisition aims to expand the range of offerings and geographic reach.
