International legal practice Osborne Clarke was commended at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards on 12 September, whilst also taking home the trophy for Age Inclusion Initiative of the Year at the Legal Benchmarking Group Social Impact Awards.
Financial Times Innovative Lawyers
Osborne Clarke Solutions was Commended in two categories, with case studies included in the full Innovative Lawyers report published by the FT:
- New Legal Products - recognised for its Compliance Copilot tool, a chatbot that answers questions from clients’ staff about internal policies regarding antitrust compliance and obligations.
- New Regulatory solutions – recognised for creating a tool to monitor packaging regulations for Starbucks EMEA. Users can check their legal obligations across 42 jurisdictions and take any necessary action to comply.
Osborne Clarke is ranked 20th in the FT law firm index for Europe, up from 24th place last year. The index provides a ranking of law firm success, based on innovation, digital, people, and social responsibility criteria.
Social Impact Awards
The Legal Benchmarking Group Social Impact Awards also took place in London on Thursday night, where Osborne Clarke won 'Age Inclusion Initiative of the Year' for its work with the Centre for Ageing Better and 55Redefined. Employment partners Julian Hemming and Danielle Kingdon recently spoke to IFLR on their work in this area.
The firm was also commended for its work with UWE Futures out of its Bristol office, alongside Burges Salmon, Clarke Willmott, and Simmons & Simmons.
Osborne Clarke has been shortlisted for over 20 industry awards in 2024, and has been recognised by some of the industry's biggest awarding bodies, including the Financial Times, The Lawyer (UK and Europe) and Lexis Nexis.
The firm has recently picked up a several more nominations, with Osborne Clarke Solutions shortlisted for 'Most Innovative Firm of the Year' at the British Legal Technology Awards and 'Best Client Service Initiative' at the European Lawyer Awards, with the firm's Belgian office also nominated for 'Brussels Team of the Year' by The Lawyer in Europe.
