Gereon Abendroth advises IT and technology companies on commercial and civil law issues. He has comprehensive experience in drafting and negotiating project contracts, in particular in relation to outsourcing (onshore and offshore).
In the area of renewables, Gereon supports projects in Germany and abroad, taking on the legal project management for clients. He has special expertise in drafting contracts for planning, building and maintenance. His clients include investors, component manufacturers and EPC providers.
Gereon has extensive in-house experience, as commercial counsel for an American company in the mobile communication industry, as senior counsel for a producer of photovoltaic modules, and with Honeywell International. In its corporate headquarters in New Jersey (USA) he was extensively involved in the structuring of contract management processes and in introducing technical support systems for the legal department.
Gereon studied in Hamburg with a focus on media and communication law. He joined Osborne Clarke in 2007.
He is a lecturer at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and regularly holds practical seminars on international contract law and contract formation.
Osborne Clarke was awarded JUVE law firm of the year for use of Information Technology in 2017.
