International law firm Osborne Clarke has advised the shareholder of Trans-Global Events, Mike Robinson, on the sale of a majority stake in the company to CloserStill Media, the producer of market-leading business events, exhibitions and conferences.
Trans-Global Events operates specialist trade shows and conferences across the United States and Europe serving the hydrogen technology and carbon capture sectors, in particular the rapidly growing and award-winning Hydrogen Technology Expo and Carbon Capture Technology Expo events. The acquisition represents the latest addition to CloserStill's new Future Transport and Infrastructure Group.
Launched in 2021, the co-located events take place annually in Houston (June) and Bremen, Germany (September) and have enjoyed exponential growth as industry increases its focus on, and investment in, decarbonisation. The events are currently the world’s largest showcase for hydrogen and carbon capture technologies, fuel cells, materials, components, and engineering solutions for energy production and industry usage.
CloserStill Media specialises in high-value, content-driven events and the nurturing of B2B or professional communities. The company operates events across a wide range of sub-vertical sectors within Business Technologies, Healthcare and Future Transport and Infrastructure across the U.S., Europe and Asia, with operations and 600 staff in the U.K., USA, Germany, Spain and Singapore.
