Osborne Clarke advised Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH, eCAPITAL ENTREPRENEURIAL PARTNERS AG and btov Partners AG on the due diligence of the Series A financing round of 1KOMMA5° GmbH.
The venture capital consortium consists of eCapital, btov, Porsche Ventures, the French Eurazeo, Blue Elephant Ventures and now also the Haniel and Schürfeld families. The capital is to be used for investments in digitalisation and the development of the energy IOT platform.
Founded nine months ago by former Tesla Germany boss Philipp Schröder, the company 1KOMMA5° wants to offer photovoltaic systems, electricity storage, charging infrastructure for electric cars and also heat pumps from a single source, from the product to the installation to the green electricity contract, and thus wants to benefit from the current boom in renewable energies. In order to build up consulting and service, 1KOMMA5° has bought a majority stake in eight larger craft companies, with ten more to follow this year. By 2030, the company aims to have acquired 80 craft businesses.
The Osborne Clarke team that advised Haniel, eCapital and btov consisted of Robert Marx (Corporate / VC), Dr Alexander Dlouhy and Dr Karla Klasen (Energy Law), Julia Kaufmann, Kerstin Grimhardt and Dr Florian Eisenmenger (all IT / Data Protection), Adrian Schneider (IP), Dr Robert Rentsch and Karina Naumann (Employment Law) under the lead of Maximilian Vocke and partner responsibility of Benjamin Monheim (both Corporate / VC).
