Andrea has more than 20 years experience in advising her clients in relation to all matters of intellectual property law. Her main focus lies on the commercialisation of IP rights.
She is one of Germany's top licensing experts and has significant experience in technology transfer (in particular in and out-licensing deals) and research and development projects. Among her further key areas of expertise are brand licensing and franchising systems, the protection of trade secrets, branding and advertising campaigns, the launch of new products, joint ventures and IP-related transactions.
Andrea is an active member of the Life Science & Healthcare sector as well as the Retail & Consumer sector and has longstanding experience in supporting clients from these industries in all contractual aspects involving the protection, the development and the commercialisation of IP Rights as well as regulatory issues.
Since many years JUVE recognizes her as a top IP expert with extensive experience in complex matters. According to Intellectual Asset Management 2022 Andrea is one of Germany’s leading experts in IP related transactions (licenses).
She regularly speaks at conferences and has authored and co-authored several books on IP licensing and technology transfer.
Andrea studied law in Göttingen, Hong Kong and Bonn. She obtained a doctorate from the University of Jena in 2001.
Prior to joining Osborne Clarke in 2014, she was a partner at Baker & McKenzie since 2009.
