Osborne Clarke has advised Warburg Pincus and Hollyport Capital on McMakler's mid-double-digit million Series D financing round. In addition, McMakler secured a long-term strategic debt facility in the high double-digit millions. The total volume of the financing is thus over EUR 100 million.
The lead investor, alongside Warburg Pincus, is one of the leading global tech investors Baillie Gifford. With the fresh capital, McMakler will further expand its core business in Germany as well as invest in its own technology platform Immoforce.
McMakler is a full-service real estate service provider active in Germany, Austria and the Paris Region. Since its founding in 2015, McMakler, which now has over 400 full-time real estate agents and 600 employees at its Berlin headquarters, has received more than EUR 170 million in growth capital from investors.
Warburg Pincus, LLC is a US private equity firm based in New York City that manages more than USD 95 billion of private equity and was also the lead investor in McMakler's previous financing round in December 2020, on which Osborne Clarke advised.
Hollyport Capital is a specialist secondaries investor based in London and New York with over USD 2 billion in assets under management. Founded in 2007 and currently investing its seventh fund, the firm focuses on the acquisition of legacy private equity assets in the secondary market.
