Osborne Clarke has advised VR Ventures in connection with the Series B financing round of the Berlin-based startup Penta with a total volume of over 18.5 million euros. Alongside VR Ventures, the Dutch bank ABN Amro and RTP Global as the new investors, other existing shareholders such as HV Holtzbrinck Ventures participated in the financing round.
VR Ventures is a venture capital fund that supports young and innovative companies in implementing their growth strategy, focusing on the financial and real estate industry. VR Ventures brings many years of experience and a strong network to the collaboration with the portfolio companies in order to jointly take advantage of digitalization opportunities.
The Berlin based startup Penta offers digital corporate accounts and claims to serve 17,000 small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). The fresh capital is intended to improve customer service with a focus on technology, product, customer service, infrastructure and marketing.
