International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the shareholders of Newmarket Holidays, an award-winning escorted tour operator, on the M&A aspects of a growth investment by London-based capital investors Soho Square Capital.
Newmarket Holidays was founded by Jeremy Griffin and Toni Frei in 1983, with Simon Hibbs joining as Managing Director in 1984 and Niel Alobaidi, Chief Executive, joining in 2019. The investment by Soho Square will allow Newmarket Holidays to expand its destination portfolio further and seize new opportunities across various markets.
Current owners Simon Hibbs, Jeremy Griffin, Toni Frei and Niel Alobaidi remain majority shareholders of Newmarket Holidays.
The Osborne Clarke team advising on this transaction was led by corporate partner Edward Persse, with Krish Mistry and Mary Hughes supporting. Ben Doeh and Tracey Wright provided Tax support.
