Mobeus has completed the sale of Access Partnership, the world’s leading technology public policy advisory firm whose highly-rated consultants deliver world class service and advice to global clients. The business has been sold to Mayfair Equity Partners LLP, a dedicated consumer and technology focused private equity investor.
International law firm Osborne Clarke advised the shareholders of Access Partnership, including the outgoing private equity investor, Mobeus Equity Partners LLP. The team was led by corporate partner Tim Hewens and included private equity associate director Seamus McKimm and associates Matthew Grice, Jack Harris and Hannah Maidment. Other advisors included tax partner David Nisbet, incentives partner Anika Chandra and senior associate Samuel Marriott and banking partner Laurie Keel and associate Jon Dodds.
Mobeus backed Access Partnership Founder and CEO, Greg Francis, and his team in November 2019, investing £13 million. At that time Access Partnership employed 57 people and generated revenues of £11 million per annum.
With Mobeus’ backing, Access Partnership and its team have grown both organically and through acquisition. During the investment term, in addition to a £7 million refinancing, Mobeus helped Access Partnership to complete two bolt-on acquisitions in Singapore, adding c. £1.5 million to profits. The result is a business that now employs 120 people, is forecast to generate revenues in excess of £25 million in the current year and is positioned to continue this impressive level of growth.
The Access Partnership shareholders, including Mobeus, were also advised on the sale by Oliver Vaughan and Arthur Callaghan at Houlihan Lokey (Corporate Finance)
