Osborne Clarke has advised hellgrün energie GmbH on its strategic partnership with Saxovent Smart Eco Investments GmbH. As a result, hellgrün, a provider of holistic solar projects for commercial customers, receives EUR 500,000 as seed financing.
Founded in 2023 by Wenzel Gerstner, Lucas Josten, and Roman Steigertahl, hellgrün enables smart green energy solutions for any company. The Climate FinTech, with offices in Cologne and Berlin, not only takes care of the holistic implementation of solar projects and the marketing of the generated electricity but also the respective financing of photovoltaic systems by private investors.
Now, Saxovent, a Berlin-based investment company with over 30 years of experience in the field of renewable energy, is investing EUR 500,000 in hellgrün, thereby successfully completing their seed financing round. The capital raised is intended to help hellgrün further develop its platform, expand the team, and increase its market presence. The declared goal is to install 100 MW of solar power on commercial rooftops by 2027.
“The partnership with Saxovent is a strategic step that helps us realise our vision of a sustainable and profitable energy future,” explains Josten. “Saxovent's many years of experience in the development and operation of renewable infrastructures will be crucial to our success.”
The Osborne Clarke team, which advised hellgrün under the leadership of Nicolas Gabrysch, consisted of Benedikt Hülsmann, Fabian Mimberg, Dana Alpar, Fenja Striesow, Maximilian Mense, Lucas Schmiegelt (all Corporate / VC), Christoph Boeminghaus (Commercial), Dr Alexander Dlouhy (Energy Law), Ann-Kristin Lochmann (Tax) and Nils Wiehmann (Employment Law).
