Osborne Clarke has advised gominga, a provider of a software-as-a-service solution for managing product reviews and customer enquiries, on its sale to saas.group.
Founded in 2014 by Petúr Agustsson, Wolfgang Greipl and Christian Driehaus, the technology company gominga wants to help its customers actively manage consumer-generated content such as product reviews or customer enquiries about products. To this end, the company has developed the Review Manager, a SaaS solution that enables manufacturers to manage several e-business platforms simultaneously from a single tool and to manage reviews, Q&As for products as well as store, app and shop ratings. The solution is now used by numerous well-known national and international companies such as Bosch, Kärcher and Samsung.
The company has now agreed to be acquired by the saas.group. Founded in 2017 by serial tech entrepreneurs Tim Schumacher, Ulrich Essmann and Tobias Schlottke, saas.group has acquired 18 SaaS companies to date and provides products across Sales & Marketing, HR, Development and e-commerce verticals with 250 members of staff and across 30 countries.
The partnership with saas.group will enable gominga to continue its significant growth in the DACH region and international markets by adopting saas.group's best practices and continuing its expansion among existing customers through a broader scope of the e-commerce platform and additional product offerings.
“saas.group’s expertise and resources will amplify our capabilities, enabling us to provide even greater value to our stakeholders”, said Christian Driehaus, Co-Founder and Managing Director of gominga.
The Osborne Clarke team, which advised gominga under the leadership of Dr Martin Sundermann, consisted of Elisabeth Falterer (both Corporate / M&A), Florian Merkle and Patrick Seiler (both Tax).
The saas.group was represented by law firm Esche Schümann Commichau, in particular by Dr Stephan Bauer (M&A), Stefan Gatz (HR), Julian Leucht (IT/IP), Dr Lukas Eßers, Alexander Schrep (both Corporate / M&A) and Laura Iser (HR).
