International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Aberdeen Standard Investments on the refinancing of Albion Capital's Albion Community Power, a £105M renewable energy portfolio. The debt was secured by raising £57 million of debt across the portfolio of onshore wind, hydro and solar projects.
The refinancing required raising long-term, non-recourse, institutional, RPI-linked debt from funds managed by Aberdeen Standard Investments. The debt was secured against the portfolio which included refurbished turbines.
Aberdeen Standard was advised by Partners Omar Al-Nuaimi and Caroline Saul who were supported by Associate Director Charlotte Walker, Senior Associate Bethan Moore and Associate Gavin Williams.
