Axel is partner in the Banking and Finance practice in Amsterdam.
He is an all-round banking specialist comfortable with advising on general corporate financings, real estate transactions, leveraged buy outs and project (renewables) financings. In addition, Axel has experience in restructuring and work outs. A well-known name in the Dutch financing market, Axel has over 15 years' experience in the financial services sector having previously worked at Freshfields and founded Osborne Clarke's banking practice in 2020.

Axel has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):
– General practice (civil law)
– Insolvency law
Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
