Osborne Clarke has advised firstminute capital on the seed funding round of the Berlin-based heat pump installer montamo, which raised a total of EUR 6 million.

Montamo, founded in 2023 by Alexander Böhm and Ole Schaumberg, specialises in the fast and reliable installation of energy transition systems. With a focus on heat pumps, montamo supports manufacturers and dealers with a turnkey service. In their own in-house academy, they enable individuals in career transition, often from precarious backgrounds, to become skilled workers and start full employment at montamo afterwards.

Montamo has now successfully completed a seed funding round of EUR 6 million. In addition to existing investors firstminute capital and Project A, the US fund Rethink Education participated; the round was led by Alter Equity through its third fund, Alter Equity3PIII. With the capital, montamo aims to expand its geographic reach in Germany and become the leading installer of heat pumps in Germany.

The Osborne Clarke team advising firstminute capital consisted of Maximilian Vocke and Dana Alpar (both Corporate / Transactions).
