As of 1 March 2025, Dr Alexander Thomas has joined the Corporate practice group of Osborne Clarke as a Partner at the Munich office. Christina König will also join Osborne Clarke as a Senior Associate as part of his team.
Corporate, equity and capital markets law advice is becoming increasingly challenging for companies due to ever more complex regulations. To better meet this client need in the future, Osborne Clarke is strengthening this area with Dr Alexander Thomas and Christina König. As specialists in stock corporation and capital market law, they will join the Corporate practice group of the international legal practice as Partner and Senior Associate, respectively. In addition to the two declared focuses of M&A and Venture Capital, the third pillar of the Corporate practice group – the corporate law area led by Susanne Kühlthau – will also be broadened.
“Corporate law matters are of very high relevance to many of our clients. To offer 'full service' with a large team, we are broadening our scope with strong support,” said Kühlthau.
Thomas has been with GSK Stockmann since 2022. His focus there was on advising companies on stock and capital markets law, managing general meetings, stock exchange obligations, public takeovers, listings, capital measures, and the preparation of securities prospectuses for equity and bond issues.
König has been working as a lawyer at GSK Stockmann since 2024. In Thomas's team, she particularly focused on equity and group law advice for listed companies, including corporate governance, and supporting general meetings of listed companies.
“The high level of specialisation at Osborne Clarke, combined with cross-practice group expertise, provides an ideal foundation for further expanding advisory services in stock and capital markets law from my perspective. The strong international network can also be particularly helpful in this regard,” said Thomas. “I am very pleased to have become part of this large and dynamic team at Osborne Clarke.”
“Alexander Thomas joining us is a crucial element in the strategic development of our practice group within the Corporate pillar and in strengthening our advisory services in capital markets law, in conjunction with our Banking & Capital Markets practice group,” said Dr Björn Hürten, Co-Head of the Corporate practice group at Osborne Clarke.
