International legal practice Osborne Clarke is strengthening its team in Sweden and the Nordic regions with the appointment of real estate specialist Linn Solholm, who will launch its Built Environment Sector Team.

Linn joins as a Partner from Sweden's largest law firm, Mannheimer Swartling, where she spent nearly eight years  in the firm's real estate practice group.

A specialist in commercial real estate transactions, Linn regularly advises on large and complex projects, direct real estate transactions, corporate transactions, real estate joint ventures and property formation.  She also brings a wealth of experience advising on commercial tenancy and other usufruct, contract negotiations, matters with construction issues, as well as project, development, structural and corporate issues.  Her clients regularly include real estate companies, listed companies, funds, municipalities and state-owned companies, among others.

With a keen interest in helping companies achieve their growing sustainability ambitions, Linn also joins the firm's Energy and Utilities Sector Team and will together with the growing team in Sweden help clients with energy transactions and land permits among other areas.

Commenting on what drew her to the firm, Linn said: "I am hugely excited to be joining the team in Sweden.  Having been at another big firm for a number of years, I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to set up my own team. I really like Osborne Clarke's future focus, creative client approach and that it's truly international.

"I think Osborne Clarke has a unique position in the Swedish market and there are big synergies between my practice and work being carried out across the firm – so lots of opportunity!  In particular, I look forward to working with the broader built environment and energy teams across the firm's international offices."

Henrik Bergström, Managing Partner at Osborne Clarke in Sweden, commented: "Linn brings fantastic experience having worked on some of the largest real estate transactions in the market. It's great to bolster our built environment sector and add real estate experience to our energy practise, alongside the work we're already doing with the technology, media, comms and financial services sector clients both in Sweden and aboard.

Having experience continued client demand over the last 18 months, Osborne Clarke has doubled its team on the ground in Sweden. To accommodate this expansion, the team recently moved to a new and larger workspace in the financial district of Stockholm from the start of 2024.

Osborne Clarke's Swedish Team offer a full range of transactional and advisory services from a Partner led team focusing on the digital, economic, environmental and political challenges that are shaping international business and represent clients (and those that invest in them). The team works closely with colleagues globally, providing a seamless cross-border service, and takes a client-centred approach, providing practical legal solutions and focusing on helping clients achieve their business objectives.
