International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised eMio on the closing of a series A financing round. The investment is a seven figure sum and comes from IBB associated company, a Hamburg-based family office and further investors from Germany, Italy and Austria.
Since March 2017, the company has been trading under the name emmy (www.emmy-sharing.de). It currently has over 150 electric scooters driving in Berlin, which are bookable via an app and available on a minute-based rate. Starting from April onwards over 200 scooters will be added. Together with public utilities of Stuttgart, the start-up already operates the sharing offer stella-Sharing.
An Osborne Clarke team led by Till-Manuel Saur advised eMio / emmy on the investment. The team included Nicolas Gabrysch, Sophie Hoffmann (Corporate), Christoph Boeminghaus (Commercial) as well as Oscar Calsamiglia (Corporate) and Cristina Rosanes (Commercial) from the firm’s Barcelona office.
