Osborne Clarke advised the Südwestdeutsche Medienholding (SWMH) on the takeover of 7Mind GmbH. 7Mind is one of the leading digital platforms for meditation and mindfulness in the German-speaking countries. This takeover is an important transaction for SWMH in the newly created ventures business.
According to the SWMH, the acquisition is intended to lay the foundation for the development of a digital health platform. The takeover is part of the corporate strategy, according to which acquisitions of growth businesses until the end of 2022 should make a significant contribution to the diversification of the group of companies.
7Mind is one of the largest platforms for offering digital content for meditation and mindfulness in the German-speaking world. According to 7Mind, over 1.5 million users have found the app to be a user-friendly and scientifically sound entry into the world of meditation and mindfulness. After the takeover, the company founders and Managing Directors Jonas Leve and Manuel Ronnefeldt will continue to perform their functions and 7Mind will remain connected in the future.
