International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the shareholders of one of the UK’s leading specialists in two-wheeler insurance, Lexham Insurance Group, on its sale to the leading wholesale insurance broker in France and Europe, APRIL Group.
Since its creation in 2000, the Lexham Group has enjoyed strong growth and established itself as one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers for motorcycle, niche motor and motor trade, forging partnerships with major players in the sector and distributing innovative, tailor-made solutions.
Lexham employs a team of over 200 people across its three UK offices.
The joint ambition of APRIL and Lexham Insurance is to support the development of the Lexham brand in the UK market by continuing to offer an increasingly differentiated insurance experience and a strong service approach.
Osborne Clarke's team that advised on the matter was led by corporate partner Alisdair Livingstone who was supported by Associate Director James Mackay and Associate Jay Eng.
