International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the shareholders of Techmodal, a UK-based data consultancy and digital services company, on the sale of the company to BAE Systems.
Techmodal’s experience and expertise in data analytics, data science and digital transformation will strengthen BAE Systems’ ability to support the UK’s armed forces and other customers around the world.
Techmodal, which is based in Bristol and has approximately 120 employees and 30 associates, has a number of long term contracts with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) in support of the UK’s armed forces, particularly the Army, Strategic Command and Royal Navy. Techmodal's expertise complements BAE Systems’ existing digital, data and technical services capabilities.
The Osborne Clarke team was led by Partner David Ferris and Senior Associate Elinor Owen. The sellers were also advised by Momentum Corporate Finance.
David said: “We were delighted to support the Seller team on this transaction for the sale of such an innovative business in the defence sector and so relevant to the MoD's Defence Digital initiative."
