Osborne Clarke has advised Gründerfonds Ruhr and High-Tech Gründerfonds on a EUR 1.5 million investment in start-up talpasolutions. Gründerfonds Ruhr was jointly created by NRW.BANK and Initiativkreis Ruhr and this investment is the second the fund has made in the last few weeks.
Essen-based start-up talpasolutions supports companies in the mining industry with big data analyses enabling customers to work more transparently, securely and more efficiently. The company stores, visualizes and analyses sensor data of used machines, reducing machine breakdowns and optimizing mining processes.
Gründerfonds Ruhr is the first early-stage fund of the Ruhr area, financed by regional industry and finance companies. Its seed stage investor High-Tech Grunderfonds (HTGF) finances technology-driven start-ups with development potential.
An Osborne Clarke team led by Nicolas Gabrysch and Rouven Siegemund (both Corporate) advised Gründerfonds Ruhr and High-Tech Gründerfonds on the investment.
