International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the Endless-backed global celebrations group Amscan International on its acquisition of Sweden's Party King which will allow the company to expand across the Nordic region. The acquisition sees Amscan International increase its overall e-commerce revenues, with online sales accounting for more than £100m of the company’s £300m turnover.
Amscan International has offices in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australasia and Asia and employs around 2,500 people worldwide. Its retail brands include Party Delights, the UK’s largest online party store, Ginger Ray and several other brands across 15 countries. Party King was established in 2009 and employs 80 people, all of whom have been transferred to Amscan International. The business has revenues of £30m and operates four websites across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland and is the clear market leader in the Nordic region.
