International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised ITV AdVentures on three new investments to add to its 'Media for Equity' portfolio in ufurnish.com, an online furniture search and comparison platform, mynestegg, a Pension & Stocks and Shares ISA consumer savings platform and Tryp.com, a personalised travel platform.

The Osborne Clarke team that advised ITV on each of the three investments was led by Corporate Partner Ken Wilkinson with support from Senior Associate Kamila Bochenek and Associate Sophie Mullarkey.

The three investments will build on the diverse range of Media for Equity investments already made by ITV in this manner, as part of ITV AdVentures Invest.  Recent investments include (as noted below) online estate agent PurpleBricks, custom fit menswear brand Spoke, pet health and wellness company PitPat, and plant-based meat business THIS.

ITV has agreed to subscribe for £2 million in ufurnish.com, up to £3 million in mynestegg and £1 million in Tryp.com in return for advertising inventory across ITV's channels and ITVX.  Advertising for the three businesses will begin in Q1 2025.

ufurnish.com

Founded in 2020, ufurnish.com has established a technology platform that aggregates 100+ UK furniture retailers, including John Lewis, Wayfair, Argos, Dunelm, B&Q, Heals, Oka and small independent retailers, to help consumers discover products from across the market easily.

mynestegg

mynestegg is a consumer savings platform offering a Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) and a Stocks and Shares ISA. It provides a simple, tailored user experience for transferring or creating pensions and ISAs, designed to educate the British public on the importance of saving for their financial futures.

Tryp.com

Headquartered in Copenhagen, Tryp.com is a global, AI-driven platform creating unique travel packages and multi-city trips that are more accessible, cost-effective and convenient than ever before. By harnessing a proprietary database of 70 million data points to deliver personalised travel choices for flights, trains, buses and ferries, Tryp.com enables virtual interline tickets from providers that do not typically work together.

Osborne Clarke previously advised ITV AdVentures on its investment in online estate agent Strike (trading as Purple Bricks), also part of its 'Media for Equity' portfolio.

Osborne Clarke's Corporate team is a go-to practice for many companies in the tech, media and comms sectors and in relation to venture capital investments, working with global businesses to fast-growth start-ups and market challengers. It is widely recognised for its corporate expertise in these dynamic markets, and its track record advising on corporate issues, from equity and debt fundraisings to M&A, IPOs and JVs across Europe, North America and globally.
