Osborne Clarke has appointed Miguel Lorán and Jordi Casas as new co-managing partners of the firm in Spain from 1 January 2023.
This follows a seven-year period in which partner Nuria Martín served as managing partner. She will now devote all her time to her work for clients in the corporate and capital markets practice. The appointment takes place within the ordinary framework of the renewal of the governing bodies and the partners' participation in the management of the firm.
Jordi Casas, a partner specializing in commercial law and M&A, has been a member of the firm's International Board for several years, the body that sets the firm's international strategy. He has more than 25 years' experience in M&A operations for national and international clients in various sectors, especially in the technology and health sciences sectors.
Miguel Lorán, a partner specializing in tax law, is also the chairman of the firm's International Council, the firm's international supervisory body. As head of the tax team in Spain, his work for clients focuses on advising on international transactions and tax planning for multinational groups.
The firm has been in Spain for more than thirty years, with offices in Barcelona, Madrid and Zaragoza.
The new co-managing partners have expressed their gratitude to all the partners for the trust placed in them and to Nuria Martín for her intense dedication to the management of the firm in these past years of strong growth and consolidation of the firm's position in Spain.
