Is your business ready for the new Market Abuse Regulation?

Published on 23rd Jun 2016

The Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), safeguarding market integrity and investor protection, is coming into effect from 3 July 2016.

Click here to download our checklist, allowing you to check your company’s progress as the implementation date approaches. The checklist covers the latest implementing measures and guidelines from ESMA and the FSMA, including:

  • the management and disclosure of inside information
  • the obligation to maintain and update insider lists
  • guidelines and procedural requirements for market soundings; and
  • PDMR dealing.

Compared to the previous regime, the scope of the MAR is extended to a wider range of financial instruments, i.e. any financial instrument traded on a regulated market, a Multilateral Trading Facility or an Organised Trading Facility, as well as any other financial instrument, the price or the value of which depends on or has an effect on the price or the value of such financial instruments.
