Future of Financial Services Week | Open finance: Where are we now?

This session will take a quick look at the ever-evolving 'Open Banking' regime as it stands today and whether the Open Banking regulatory landscape in the UK can be understood to be broadly settled. The session will recap on Open Finance and its current most concrete example, the 'Pensions Dashboard' and what is currently expected of players in the pensions market. As Open Finance is based on the use of technology and the exchange and processing of data, the second half of the session, will look more thematically at opportunities and challenges around the use of data to develop personalised financial services and will consider what's coming next for regulation as big tech companies enter the financial services industry.
