COP

COP – due to be hosted in Egypt between 6-18 November 2022 – will be a significant international event on the climate change agenda. COP will bring governments together to accelerate global efforts to confront the climate crisis and assess the result of last year's Glasgow conference, the Glasgow Climate Pact.

Covering crucial topics such as climate finance, adaptation, energy and climate tech – the conference will have wide ranging implications for businesses, as we all endeavour to limit the average temperature rise to 1.5 degrees.

  • Which technologies offer the biggest opportunities in the urban context?
  • How can viable technologies be scaled up in the urban context?
  • What role can finance play in stimulating uptake of viable technologies in cities?
  • How can incentive regimes and policy stimulus support commercial viability?
  • Which cities provide best-practice examples for advances in decarbonisation?
