On June 6, 2023, the Directive on Strengthening the Application of the Principle of Equal Pay for Women and Men for Equal Work or Work of Equal Value through Pay Transparency and Enforcement Mechanisms came into force. The Directive aims to reduce pay inequalities between men and women starting as early as recruitment and to put in place systems to prevent discrimination. Obligations under the Directive vary depending on the size of the workplace. Poland has until June 2026 to implement its provisions.
