Osborne Clarke is pleased to announce that it has advised Cerve on its successful £3.5M Seed Round, led by SuperSeed and joined by Zenith Ventures, Ponderosa Ventures, and The First Thirty. This cross-jurisdictional deal was a collaborative effort between Osborne Clarke's UK and Sweden offices, in cooperation with Israeli firm Shibolet.
Cerve, a pioneering company in the food industry, aims to address the critical issues of food waste and food security by providing standardised, accurate, and real-time data solutions. The company's infrastructure and API enable organisations to create transformative solutions, applications, and automations, thereby enhancing visibility and traceability across supply chains.
The Swedish team was led by Mikael Nelson, while the UK team was headed by Justin Starling. Their combined expertise and dedication were instrumental in the successful completion of this transaction.
"We are delighted to have supported Cerve in this significant milestone. Their innovative approach to data standardisation in the food industry has the potential to make a substantial impact on global food waste and security issues."
Mikael Nelson
Justin Starling added: "This deal exemplifies the strength of Osborne Clarke's cross-jurisdictional capabilities and our commitment to supporting visionary companies like Cerve in their growth journeys."
The wider Osborne Clarke team consisted of Emma Charlton (UK), Sian Daly (UK), Beatrice Suomela (SE) and Magdalena Jener (SE).
