Christoph Seidler will join Osborne Clarke from KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht, one of Germany's largest boutique law firms specializing in employment law, on 1 August 2023. As a partner, he will strengthen the employment law team of the international commercial law firm in Hamburg.
Christoph Seidler (36) primarily advises on employment law restructurings as well as collective employment law. He joined KLIEMT in 2019 and previously worked in the Employment practice group of Latham & Watkins LLP from 2015 to 2019. Already early in his career, Christoph Seidler has gained strong reputation, underlined e.g. by repeated listings as one of ten employment law rising stars in Germany by the well-known JUVE magazine.
In the course of Christoph Seidler’s entry, the employment law team will hire two further associates, and now has seven lawyers on site. The employment law practice group will then have a total of 32 attorneys.
“We are very pleased that with Christoph Seidler we have been able to gain an experienced colleague for our Hamburg employment law team! In the course of his many years of professional experience at a major international law firm as well as through the establishment of the Hamburg office of a boutique that is highly recognised in the market, he has been able to acquire extensive know-how that fits perfectly with our growth course in employment law,” said Carsten Schneider, Managing Partner Osborne Clarke in Germany.
“I am very excited to join the employment law team of Osborne Clarke! With a highly regarded employment law practice group, a very good cooperation with further practice groups as well as an excellent international structure, I see an ideal setup for further strengthening Osborne Clarke’s employment law advice”, Christoph Seidler explains.
“With his focus on employment law restructuring and workforce transformation as well as his focus in the aviation sector, Christoph Seidler expands our employment law portfolio on all relevant sides. With his support, we can offer our clients an even more comprehensive range of employment law advice and position ourselves even better in the competition,” says Dr David Plitt, head of the employment law practice group at Osborne Clarke.
