Since 2010 the magazine’s editors have honoured law firms for extraordinary commitment in training the next generation of young lawyers. This year, around 5,000 lawyers, trainees and students provided feedback and reflected how satisfied they are with their employer. Osborne Clarke won the award following the successful launch of the new comprehensive training programme “OC Trains.”

Managing Partner, Carsten Schneider comments: “This award shows that we are on the right path in terms of remaining an attractive employer. Education and training are key elements to our success. They also form part of our new career system, in which we fundamentally reviewed the structures of our personnel development.” It focuses on new career stages and clearly defines core skills for
lawyer development, including excellent work, service and cooperation,
successful and current business trends as well as the development of
client relationships.

The programme is run in conjunction with Bucerius Law School, supporting and actively encouraging entrepreneurial ideas and activities. The programme of events includes regular seminars and workshops on legal topics, networking and business development, project management, business cases and management training. According to the research, the programme is highly rated by associates at Osborne Clarke. One commented: “The various training opportunities make Osborne Clarke the ideal employer.”
