Osborne Clarke advises SwissHealth Ventures on the extension of deepc’s Series A funding round

Osborne Clarke has advised SwissHealth Ventures on an investment as part of the extension of the Series A funding round, now totalling USD 30 million, in the MedTech start-up deepc.

The Munich-based AI start-up, founded in 2019 by Franz Pfister, Julia Moosbauer, Michael Meyerhoff, and Paul Mayer, develops software medical products for imaging diagnostics. Through the AI platform deepcOS, radiologists gain easy access to a variety of internationally leading and verified AI applications. This aims to simplify daily work and enable the accuracy of diagnoses and treatment decisions. According to the company, DeepOS is already in use in numerous renowned institutions, such as Solothurn Hospital in Switzerland, the Vivantes Clinic Group and the University Hospital of LMU in Germany, as well as the National Health Service in England.

Deepc has now successfully completed its extended Series A funding round, increasing its total financing by an additional USD 12 million to USD 30 million. The funding was co-led by Sofinnova Partners and Bertelsmann Investments, with participation from SwissHealth Ventures and KHP Ventures as new investors, as well as existing investor Winning Mindset Ventures.

Deepc will use the fresh capital to accelerate its growth and international expansion and to improve its operating system. Key growth priorities include expanding its presence in the United States, expanding into the United Kingdom, and doubling its commitment to key European markets.
