International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the US investor Raine Ventures on its investment in Berlin-based start-up Dojo Madness GmbH. The capital comes from Raine Ventures and other co-investors. The financing round will allow Dojo Madness to extend its product line and expand in Asia. In total, the company has raised EUR 5.8 million in this investment round.

Raine Ventures is the venture capital arm of The Raine Group a globally acting US-merchant bank with offices in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, London and Shanghai.

Dojo Madness has specialised in the development of software in the field of e-sports. The company builds and sells tools and services that help players understand and master their favorite esports games.

An Osborne Clarke team led by partner Nicolas Gabrysch has advised Raine Ventures on this transaction. The team also included Till-Manuel Saur (both Corporate / M&A), Konstantin Ewald (IT law) and Sonja Riedemann (Employment law) as well as Jeff Higgins (Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP, San Diego, USA).
