Osborne Clarke has advised Hollyport Secondary Opportunities VII LP (Hollyport) for the third time in a financing round of the hybrid real estate agent McMakler.

McMakler is a full-service real estate service provider active in Germany and Austria. The company employs around 350 in-house real estate agents at over 30 locations. They are supported by around 250 employees at the headquarters in Berlin, where McMakler's analysis and marketing technology is developed. Felix Jahn started the hybrid real estate agent in 2015 as a founding investor and executive chairman and led the company as CEO between 2018 and 2024. Since 2024, Benedikt Manigold has been the managing director of McMakler.

McMakler has now successfully completed its latest financing round, raising a double-digit million amount. The lead investors were the existing investors Baillie Gifford and Israel Growth Partners (IGP). The company will use the new capital to invest in, among other things, the expansion of the broker network and the further development of digital processes.

“This financing round underscores the strong belief of our investors in McMakler's potential and our shared vision to become the leading brokerage company in the German real estate market,” says Manigold.

Osborne Clarke had already represented Hollyport in the last two financing rounds of McMakler in 2023 and 2022; a team from the international legal practice, consisting of Maximilian Vocke and Dana Alpar (both Corporate / VC / M&A), successfully assisted the investor this time as well.
