Empresaria Group plc announced on 13 October its conditional acquisition of US healthcare recruiter PS. The deal gives Empresaria (an international specialist staffing group) greater access to the US market, and increases their presence in the healthcare staffing sector. The Osborne Clarke team who supported the acquisition was led by Mark Wesker. The team provided advice on the £3.3m accelerated bookbuild used to part finance the deal.
On 5 October, an Osborne Clarke team led by Matthew Bodfield advised CDI AndersElite Limited’s on the acquisition of London-based recruitment business Ship Shape Resources. CDI AndersElite is the UK subsidiary of US listed CDI Corp.
On the same day, Nasdaq listed executive search and consulting firm Heidrick & Struggles acquired Co Company, a London-based advisory boutique specializing in leadership services. Tim Birt led the team who advised the shareholders of Co Company on its successful sale.
The deals continue Osborne Clarke’s impressive record in the recruitment sector, following (as announced by us in June) the recent sale of Staffgroup to Consort, Allgeier’s acquisition of Networker, the sale by Huntswood of Conduit to JSA and Rethink’s acquisition of Consort Group.
