International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised longstanding client and leading Nordic real estate private equity firm, Niam on the completion of its seventh opportunistic real estate fund, Niam Nordic VII.
With a total of €1.1 billion in equity commitments, it is the largest private real estate fund in the Nordics. Niam Nordic VII can invest in all property types in the Nordic countries.
The investors are a mixture of public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, insurance companies, fund of funds and financial institutions from around the world.
The team that advised on the matter was led by Partner and Head of the Projects, Real Estate and Finance Practice Group Tim Simmonds working closely with Partner Alison Riddle and senior associates Lizette Hunter and Elizabeth Shanahan. A long-standing client of Osborne Clarke, the team also previously advised Niam in 2016 for its sixth fund when the company raised €800m of equity and has continued to provide on-going advice in relation to Niam Nordic V and Niam Nordic VI.
