International legal practice, Osborne Clarke has advised ArangoDB GmbH on its investment by Target Partners GmbH. The Cologne-based database start-up raised EUR 2.2 million in total in the current financing round. The investment will be used to further accelerate the company’s growth as well as to promote its expansion in the USA.
ArangoDB is a freely available NoSQL database with a flexible data model that supports documents, graphs and key/values. Unlike most competitors, ArangoDB focuses on data processing, rather than on the type of data. The company most recently received a EUR 1.85 million investment from Machao Holding and triAGENS.
Target Partners is a Munich-based venture capital company that finances young technology companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in a very early stage of business development.
The Osborne Clarke team that advised on the investment was led by Partner Nicolas Gabrysch who was assisted by Till-Manuel Saur (both Corporate) and Konstantin Ewald (IT law).
