Paul Brouwer

Paul is a partner in our litigation and arbitration department and has extensive experience litigating and advising in national and international commercial disputes for leading retailers, e-commerce companies, construction companies, real estate investors, financial institutions and a wide variety of companies in other sectors. Many of these disputes have involved an international element and he frequently advises on associated issues of jurisdiction and procedure.

Paul is president of the committee for disciplinary matters of the Dutch cycling sport confederation. He is also a member of the committee for disciplinary matters of the Royal Dutch Football Association.

Before joining Osborne Clarke in 2014, Paul worked as an associate with Baker McKenzie in the litigation and arbitration department in Amsterdam. He studied law in Amsterdam and Stellenbosch.

Paul has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

• Dispute Resolution
• Arbitration
• Law governing attachments and executions 
• Litigation
• Contract Law

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
