Natalie Kopplow advises on all aspects of public law, specializing in planning, building and environmental law. She advises clients on project developments and transactions regarding renewable energy generation, energy storage and other transformative technologies as well as on compliance with environmental regulations. Natalie also represents clients in contract negotiations related to public law, vis-à-vis public authorities and in court.

Natalie advises businesses from the energy, industrial and real estate sectors on compliance with environmental protection, decarbonization and sustainability regulations, including questions of implementation and liability. In the context of project developments, Natalie helps clients navigate the relevant planning and permit requirements for renewable energy generation, energy storage and other transformative technologies. She provides strategic advice and representation vis-à-vis public authorities, in court, as well as in the negotiation of contracts related to public law. Where necessary, she collaborates seamlessly with the client’s technical advisors. She also advises on public law matters in the context of corporate and real estate transactions.

Natalie studied in Munich, Tel Aviv, Würzburg and Lüneburg. During her legal traineeship in Berlin, she worked for the energy law team of an international law firm and at the European Commission in Brussels.

Natalie was admitted to the bar in 2020. Before joining Osborne Clarke in November 2024, she was a senior associate in the public law team of an international law firm in Berlin.

Natalie is the author of the chapter on electricity storage in the energy law manual by Pritzsche / Vacha and regularly publishes on public law topics. In the “Best Lawyers” ranking for Germany by Handelsblatt she has been recognized as “one to watch” for public law. She is a member of the German Society for Environmental Law (Gesellschaft für Umweltrecht e.V.).
