Michael Kintrup is a member of the Dispute & Risks Practice Group. His work includes pre-trial dispute resolution as well as the enforcement and defence of claims before state courts and in arbitration proceedings. In particular, he advises national and international clients from the offshore and onshore wind, marine technology and automotive sectors. He also provides comprehensive advice to clients from the sports industry. Michael represents national and international sports federations as well as athletes and other sports stakeholders such as sports agencies.
Michael studied law at the University of Münster. During his legal clerkship, he worked in various major international law firms in Düsseldorf and London in the areas of dispute resolution, IP and sports law. As part of his doctorate, Michael dealt in depth with ESG compliance issues in the sports sector. Michael has already been able to apply his scientific knowledge in advice to companies and NGOs in the sports industry.
After working for an international law firm in Hamburg since 2019, Michael joined Osborne Clarke's Disputes and Risk team as a Senior Associate in June 2024.
Michael is, among others, a member of the DIS, DIS40 and the Sports Law Working Group of the German Lawyers‘ Association (DAV). He is the elected chairman of the disciplinary committee of the German Athletics Federation (DLV) and a member of the arbitration tribunal of the women’s national handball league.
