Since joining Osborne Clarke in 2013, Mark's focus has been on building out the Osborne Clarke Private Equity offering in London from a single partner to a six partner specialist team.
In addition to building a mid-market financial sponsor-led Private Equity practice, Mark has also been instrumental in creating Osborne Clarke's leading specialist Management Advisory practice and in doing so has secured a substantial number of significant instructions acting for the management teams on many of the most high profile transactions in the past few years.
With over 30 years' relevant specialist experience, and as a leading private equity practitioner, Mark is often called upon for his expertise in relation to providing advice and assistance on projects even when he is not the lead partner.
In the past Mark has taken time out from his legal career to undertake a commercial role in a venture capital backed supply chain management software company as a director and investor. Mark is also very interested in the area of corporate governance and business ethics and is a former member of the Institute of Business Ethics.
Mark has been named in the legal directories as a “leading individual” for both private equity and M&A where he is described as “realistic and practical” and is praised for “not wasting time arguing immaterial matters for the sake of legal principle”.
