International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Venatus, a global advertising technology platform targeting video gaming and entertainment audiences, on an investment by Livingbridge, one of the UK’s leading mid-market private equity investors.
Livingbridge’s investment will be vital in supporting Venatus in establishing itself as the largest global specialist in this space – facilitating its ambitious growth plans in the US, taking the business to new geographies, and heavily investing in its proprietary technology.
Co-founded in 2010 by CEO Rob Gay and COO Matt Cannon, Venatus is headquartered in London with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Sydney and Seoul, connecting advertisers and their agencies with video gaming content and community website owners.
Rob Gay, CEO, commented: "We have had the pleasure of working with the Osborne Clarke team on our recent round of investment. Their expertise, professionalism and ability to go above and beyond for their clients made them a joy to work with. We are incredibly thankful for their guidance and support over the last few months and look forward to working with them again in the future."
The Osborne Clarke team who advised on the matter was led by Corporate Partner Mathias Loertscher, Associate Director Jonathan Crowley (Corporate) and Mark Spinner (Private Equity). The team was assisted by Courtney Fowler (Corporate), Alec Bartlett (Private Equity), Lara Flynn (Employment), Mathew Oliver and Helena Zaba (both Tax).
Osborne Clarke advises some of the best and brightest businesses across the digital marketing services sector. It is widely recognised for its corporate expertise in this dynamic market, and for its track record advising on M&A and Private Equity deals across Europe. The team is also a go-to practice for many companies in the tech, media & comms sector, working with global businesses to fast-growth start-ups and market challengers.
