Mairi Granville-George

Mairi is our specialist Knowledge Lawyer Director for our employee incentives team.
Mairi is responsible for keeping our lawyers and clients up-to-date on developments in share schemes and executive remuneration. This includes assisting with technical legal issues, delivering training, publishing our regular incentives newsletter and responding to relevant consultations issued by HMRC and the Treasury.
Our incentives team advises on the design and implementation of the full range of employee share plans and employee benefit trusts (including employee ownership trusts).
Mairi has particular expertise in tax-advantaged share plans, including enterprise management incentive options, and is a member of Share Plan Lawyers. She is also experienced in related employee tax and corporate governance issues.
Helping businesses to incentivise their employees has been the focus of my career. I enjoy finding commercial solutions to technical points which may arise in designing plans for our clients.
Ensuring that the workforce is motivated to drive the business forward has taken on greater significance, due to the recent challenges many companies have been facing and the shift towards hybrid working.
