Katherine is a Senior Associate our Restructuring & Insolvency team. She has particular experience in advising on a broad range of contentious matters, and is instructed by both insolvency practitioners and company directors.
Examples of the types of work Katherine is typically involved in include looking into and advising on transactions at an undervalue, transactions intending to defraud creditors and preference claims. She also has experience in advising on wrongful trading, misfeasance and fraudulent trading.
Katherine also provides advice on non-contentious insolvency matters, most commonly in relation to directors' duties in a distressed context and security and enforcement strategies for banks, lenders or other creditors.
Katherine's work involves complex issues which often extend cross-border, particularly in relation to offshore jurisdictions.
Helping you succeed in tomorrow's world
The matters I am involved on often necessitate considerable investigatory work and thereafter timely action. I enjoy working in this dynamic and rapidly-evolving environment, looking into and scrutinising what was going on within a company as it approached insolvency (or once it was already deemed to be insolvent) and whether claims can either be advanced or defended.
