Dr Jens Schefzig advises on IT and data protection law. He supports his clients in creating value from their data. Jens’ clients include leading international internet and industrial companies as well as start-ups.
Jens advises his clients on all issues regarding data protection, in particular compliance with data privacy laws, e. g., organisations, processes and guidelines. He also advises his clients on data analyses, data supply chains, rights in data and the access to data (big data, data trade and industry 4.0). Additionally, he also specialises in negotiations with data protection authorities as well as litigation on data privacy.
Furthermore, Jens helps his clients to realise innovative digital business models. In this context he drafts and negotiates comprehensive IT-contracts, in particular regarding cloud services.
Prior to joining Osborne Clarke’s Hamburg office in 2014, Jens has worked at Norton Rose Fulbright. In 2008 and 2009 he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey&Company where he gained extensive business knowledge. He is also the author of various essays and specialist articles on data protection law and regularly reports at meetings and conferences on data law topics.
