James is a Partner in Osborne Clarke's banking and finance practice. He leads a full-service ABL team specialising in receivables finance, asset-based lending, specialty finance and trade finance.
James advises a broad range of national and international clients primarily from the financial services sector. He acts for lenders, including clearing banks, challenger banks, independent ABLs, specialist lenders, other non-bank and alternative lenders, agents and account banks as well as advising corporate borrowers.
James acts on bilateral, syndicated and cross border transactions, focusing on front-end structuring and execution and extending to portfolio management issues, product development and compliance plus advising on restructurings and downside scenarios. He has particular expertise in relation to invoice finance, other forms of receivables financing, working capital products, borrowing base facilities, non-recourse structures and supplier and supply chain finance.
